Meet the Founder

My name is Graham Spanner, and I’m the owner of Spanner Construction. I am a licensed carpenter with over 10 years of experience in the construction industry, but my work ethic started long before that. I’ve been working labour jobs since I was 15 years old, and those early years taught me the value of hard work, accountability, and taking pride in a job well done.

Starting Spanner Construction was about more than launching a business – it was about building a legacy. I founded the company during one of the most significant times in my life: while my father was battling cancer and my wife was expecting our first son. Those experiences reinforced what matters most to me: family, integrity, and making the most of every opportunity.

I genuinely love what I do. Building, renovating, and creating spaces that people are proud to call home is something I’m passionate about. Every project is approached with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality that I would expect in my own home. For me, the job isn’t finished until my client is completely satisfied.

One thing my clients consistently tell me is that they appreciate my communication just as much as my craftsmanship. I believe that being honest, approachable, and keeping clients informed throughout every stage of a project is just as important as the quality of the finished work.
